MISSION

NOIWE’s mission is to support the private and public sectors, including schools and universities, in their effort to promote cohesive communities and teams able to work constructively with and for diversity and inclusion.We have created services (trainings and tools) that are context-sensitive and tailor-made to meet our customers’ needs and vision. Our unique approach is based on more than 12 years of research and practices by our team members in the field of human rights, social and educational sciences.

The pedagogical models and innovative activities we have developed and tested are based on the philosophical and practical principles of transformative pedagogy. They are proven to be effective in helping transform and solve conflicts around diversity and in empowering learners in their efforts to promote a culture of inclusion.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Dr. Cappiali is the founder and the CEO of NOIWE. Currently, she is a Senior Researcher at the Raoul Wallenberg Institute of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (RWI), with the funding Vinnova-MSCA Seal of Excellence Fellowship (2021-2023).  Dr. Cappiali has a strong interdisciplinary and international training and research experience in the social sciences and human rights education. Her research projects focus on immigration, gender, diversity, inclusion, and discriminations. She holds a PhD from Université de Montréal in Canada. She has gained her most important knowledge on diversity and inclusion  working on and with vulnerable groups in several countries, and has conducted research in some of the most prestigious universities in the world, including at Cornell University (USA), Toronto University, McGill University (Canada), the European University Institute (Italy), and Lund University (Sweden).
